Old Gowrie
Old Gowrie is a Virginian tobacco, prepared in the old-time manner either as a broken flake, or rubbed out for those who favour a finer cut. In the latter form the various shades of rich leaf are shown to particular advantage. Its essential charm is its coolness and tranquillizing properties. It has found it way all over the world wherever Englishmen go. It is their vade mecum.

Jocks Mixture
A very dark and full bodied, mild mixture of surprising flavour and very slow burning with exactly the necessary touch of Latakia supported by a good proportion of Cavendish.

Marlin Flake
A companion to Old Gowrie. A shade darker, that edge of greater strength, a difference in aroma but otherwise a tobacco in the same fine tradition. What more needs to be said.

Highland Targe
The outstanding feature is the pronounced flavour obtained by a variety of Latakia more robust in character than that used in the other mixtures. This tobacco has earned proper recognition by those smokers who have a particular liking for this type of leaf.

Black Virginia

Brown Clunee
Its dark colour belies its strength. Mild is the only word to describe this tobacco. We have always eschewed the word mild in descriptions as it so often suggests something sharp or bitter to the tongue, or on the other hand, something quite negative. Prepared from choice Red Virginias and heavily flavoured with Orientals, Rattray's Red Rapparee has a beautiful red tinge. It is small and short, the ash is dull grey and the walls and bowl of the pipe remain clean, it burns in the pipe with the spontaneity of a fine cigar.

Terry Red
A pleasant mixture of light Virginia tobaccos from North Carolina and Black Cavendish. The composition of rum, ginger and cherry gives a mild flavour that will not only delight yourself but also your companions.
