    This cigar was introduced in 1976. The distinctive and unique flavour of this Mehari's comes in part from its refreshing Java Besuki wrapper leaf.

    Java is used a lot in the creation of Dutch cigars due to its slightly spicy aroma. Cultivation is on a very small scale and this leaf is not grown on large plantations. It is produced on land owned by Indonesian petty farmers. The Mehari's Java goes will with Chinese tea, vodka or cold expresso.

    Smoking time approximately 10-15 minutes.

Good for the price. Highly recommend curing them for at least a month: this made them much less harsh, with some decent flavours for a £1 smoke!


Absolutely needs time in the humidor as smoking them dry doesnt offer much, after a little curing the first quarter of this cigar had an amazing strong dark chocolate flavour which worked perfectly with the cedar notes in the aroma, good blend of flavours for the price and very good for quick smokes.


I get approximately 17 minutes out of one,just for fun,I timed it.A smooth smoke,mild/mid,in my opinion,not a Cuban,obviously,but for everyday consumption,a favourite.They won't break the bank,but will mend the cares of the day,in company with a decent Scotch.I give the full 5 stars,for all factors taken into consideration.


An everyday smoke for me, these are quite smooth and despite other reviews last a good 20 minute. Would recommend.


like it says on the tin.definatly a spicy little number but it has a paper inner and is a bit loose and due to this they don't last very long,5+ minutes.i would have expected a bit longer due to the length.they aren't a bad smoke though,pretty smooth and spicy.morning work break cigar.not too bad for the price.

