The Orchant family has long had a passion for fine Havana cigars. This passion culminated in the establishment of C.Gars Ltd in 1997 so that we could offer the finest Havana cigars to our customers throughout the world via the world wide web.

I remember my father, Michael Orchant, telling me how my grandfather was a great Havana cigar connoisseur and how they enjoyed visiting the world famous Davidoff shop in Geneva in the 1970s to purchase their Cuban Davidoff cigars from Zino Davidoff. At that time it was difficult to find certain sizes of Davidoff cigars in the UK.

They also both used to enjoy Henry Clay cigars, which unfortunately are no longer available, as well as some excellent Jamaican cigars such as Macanudo which although still available are somewhat different today in terms of blend.

Throughout many years in the hotel business in central London, my family's hotel restaurants and bars sold a good range of fine Havana cigars to our guests. We always had a decent mail order side to the business which eventually grew substantially and evolved into C.Gars Ltd, the largest mail order Havana cigar merchants in the UK. The Havanas are supplied by Hunters & Frankau, the official UK Havana importers, with 200 years' experience, and we have built a solid close relationship with this company.
