Reviews

Customers say
Customers generally find this Chinchalero Reserva Robusto to be a well-constructed cigar with a good draw and even burn, often praised for its excellent value at its price point. While some enjoy its mild to medium strength and pleasant, often sweet or fruity flavours, others found the flavour profile to be bland, sharp, or even unpleasant in the latter half, with some questioning its value compared to other options.
Best suited for newer cigar smokers or those looking for an affordable, well-performing robusto with a mild to medium, often sweet flavour profile, provided they are open to a potentially inconsistent flavour experience.

Being a bit of a newbie, this was one of four cigars that i had recently ordered and was looking for an excuse to light one of them up and that opportunity presented itself tonight. Cigar smelled good, kinda sweet. I likes. Toasted it up and the first few puffs were quite mellow and sweet-ish. I thought yes, this is what im talking about. I even gave the wife a puff who agreed too. However one third into the cigar, the mildness went and the cigar flavours were now sharp and pretty rough. I left the last inch of the cigar, just couldnt smoke it anymore. Maybe this needed some more time in the humidor? I dont think i will buy it again and will continue testing.

A reasonable cigar but not overly impressed. Burn and build qualty is good. Flavour mild and subtle. Very light Cafe Creme flavour in the first two thirds, taking a while to strengthen but toasted malt/leather flavour emerging after halfway. I have smoked the Chinchalero Picadilos in the past which represent excellent value for money as a mid week smoke, however I could not tell much of a difference in taste despite it being twice the price. Its a touch longer but not a better cigar, so the price tag lets it down in my opinion. Spend a bit more and buy a Cuban or a bit less for value for money. Id have paid a fiver for this happily but at £7 its overpriced.

Just had one of these Robusto's and was really looking forward to the experience as the reviews have been very positive. Now I must add I've not smoked Cubans at the top of the price range so I am not even comparing this smoke to those. My favourite smoke to date is the C.Gars Ltd Nicaraguan Selection - Robusto Cigar which is 7.99. The Chinchalero Robusto looks great nice wrapper and smelled pretty good to. So things are starting well. I use my new punch and take a couple of pre draw pulls which are quite grassy no real flavour. Toasted and started and to be fair very bland. I think it will produce the goods as the smoke commences but unfortunately it just did not happen. The cigar performance was fine smoked real well had a good sharp burn but the flavours did not progress and remained plain and grassy like. Just below half way began to almost taste like a dirty cigarette. I ended up lobbing it over the garden fence. As reviews seem to be positive I think its worth a purchase just to see if you like it but personally I will not buy again.

For the price I think these are excellent. I finished mine and could have quite happily had another. Fantastic value for money.

I'm a relatively new cigar smoker and I've been trying many different brands from quality Cuban to rest of the world. This one genuinely surprised me, for a cigar at the lower end of the budget it was excellent. Probably not to everyones taste but I liked the mild/medium strength and pleasant flavours. Good draw and burn and it stayed lit right to the end. Nice 45 minute smoke with a coffee, will buy more.
